About Kristi
Kristi Murphey
Licensed Professional Counselor
I’m Kristi Murphey, a Licensed Professional Counselor offering online counseling across Texas and in-person sessions in Amarillo. Having grown up in the Texas Panhandle, I care deeply about serving the people of Amarillo and the surrounding communities, as well as supporting clients statewide through secure virtual therapy.
I provide individual counseling, marriage counseling, and family therapy, with a focus on identity and self-worth struggles, affair recovery, grief, forgiveness, and life transitions that can feel overwhelming to face alone. I also have extensive experience working with survivors of suicide and co-leading marriage intensives at the Hideaway Experience in Amarillo.
As a Level II Certified Restoration Therapist, I guide clients toward understanding the root causes of conflict and unhealthy coping patterns. Together, we work on practical strategies for healthier relationships, stronger identities, and lasting change.
I earned a B.S. in Psychology from Texas A&M University and an M.A. in Professional Counseling from Liberty University. Outside of counseling, I enjoy time with my family, Bible study, pickleball with friends, and volunteering in my church and community.
